Sojabohnen-Polyose ist ein raffiniertes wasserlösliches Polysaccharid, das mit heißem Wasser aus natürlichen Sojabohnenfasern extrahiert wird.	Soybean Hemicellulose is a refined water-soluble polysaccharide obtained from natural strain soybean fibre by hot water extraction.
Im Jahr 2003 bewertete der Wissenschaftliche Lebensmittelausschuss Sojabohnen-Polyose (E 426) [5], die derzeit gemäß der Richtlinie 95/2/EG in der EU zugelassen ist.	Soybean hemicellulose (E 426) was evaluated by the Scientific Committee on Food in 2003 [5] and is currently authorised within the EU under Directive 95/2/EC.
Der Ausschuss kam zu dem Schluss, dass die Verwendung von Sojabohnen-Polyose in den Lebensmitteln, für die ein Antrag gestellt wurde, in den beantragten Mengen annehmbar ist.
