| Merkmale eines weltraumgestützten Beobachtungssystems gemäß Artikel 13 |
Characteristics of space-based observation system as referred to in Article 13 |
…operations shall ensure the operations and development of the GMES space component, which consists of space-borne Earth observation infrastructure and aims at ensuring observation of Earth sub-systems (including land surfaces, atmosphere and oceans). |
Policy formulation and implementation at European, national and regional level increasingly depend on space-derived information. |
The objective is to maintain a globally leading role in space by safeguarding and further developing a cost-effective, competitive and innovative space industry (including SMEs) and research community and by fostering space-based innovation. |
…support for new policy needs that may arise, for example: space-based solutions in support of developing countries and use of space-observation tools and methods to support developments in Community policies. |
Where GMES dedicated data are produced by a space-based observation system meeting at least one of the characteristics listed in the Annex, the Commission shall assess the data sensitivity on the basis of the following criteria |
Where GMES dedicated data are produced by a space-based observation system which does not meet any of the characteristics listed in the Annex, the GMES dedicated data are presumed not to be sensitive. |
